Raced greenly and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of KAIPAKI JACK when CONRAD H was shifting inwards near the 650m and struck the sulky wheel which punctured. Stewards questioned drivers L Neal (TWO FRANCS) and B Wilkins (CONRAD H) and after hearing explanations from both drivers Stewards could not apportion full blame to either horse or driver and took the matter no further. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections and was treated for muscle tie up.
